LD Farms Maximum Pheasants

Pheasant Hunting Destination

LD Farms Maximum Pheasants

Why do pheasants like our area?

  • Several ponds to quench a pheasant's thirst
  • Tree shelterbelts provide many benefits, including winter survival, feeding, roosting, and cover from predators
  • Corn, cane and grain sorghum strips to provide food during the summer
  • Row crops that are left standing for the winter to provide shelter for the cold days

Hunting with Us

If you choose to hunt with us, then you will have some of the most pheasant-friendly land in the area available to you. The crops are chosen to provide enough food to keep the pheasants coming back. Cane and milo are some of their favorites. Eleven tree belts have been planted to give the pheasants a place to hatch their eggs undisturbed. In addition to food and shelter, there are nine water reservoirs. When all of these are combined, they provide a great habitat for pheasants and other wildlife. In other words, it's a great hunting environment.

We have enjoyed pheasant hunting for years, and we want to allow you the chance to experience the fun. Many of the hunters who have been here choose to return. This is because of the good hunting and friendly atmosphere. Hunters have come from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and, many have come from our great state of South Dakota! Some hunters have even crossed country borders to come from Canada, England and Japan.
